Consultations

Not every family have the same needs or life circumstances.
Initial consultations may take a little longer than a regular consultation as we discuss what is happening for you and/or your family and work out a plan of action.
 

• Initial consultations - up to 1.5 hrs

• Families with complexities - up to 2.0 hrs

• Ongoing regular consultations - up to 1.0 hr

Needs Based Assessment

Needs based assessment and planning can be done formally with a report generated for support services, such as Early Intervention, Education and Permanency Support Programs.
My approach is underpinned by trauma informed knowledge and practice and takes into account the developmental and situational history of the child from neonatal to their current stage of development.

INTERPLAY

Play-based therapy: Play is a child's mean of communication. The majority of big behaviours are the child's attempt to let the adults around them know that something is too big for them to deal with or articulate. Through play and the Interplay modality the facilitator supports parents to understand what the child's needs are in that moment and learn to apply it to everyday situations.
